COWICHAN STYLE SWEATER OR HAT
Learn two coloured stranded fair isle knitting, how to read a chart and how to work with pencil roving yarn while making these traditional Canadian garments. They are true classics that never go out of style.

QUICK CABLED THROW
Super bulky blankets are still the trend and what better way to learn cables than this quick knit throw? We will cover how to do basic cable stitches as well as read cabled patterns both from written instructions and from charts.

Make the ever popular shift shawl using colour shifting yarns for a truly spectacular effect. You will learn simple mosaic knitting as well as how to do an i-cord edging

MOSAIC MITTENS
If you loved the shift shawls and cowls, then this mitten class is the one for you. Mosaic knitting is perfect for mittens, as it creates a warm dual layer with a stunning pattern. We will be learning basic mosaic slipped stitches, a waste yarn thumb and how to read a mosaic chart.

Make a stunning cowl with this technique that looks like woven ribbons of knitting or a stained glass quilt of knitted squares.

Baby season will be fast upon us and this simple sweater is great for beginners or anyone who wants an easily customizable baby sweater with minimal finishing. Best of all, there can be no seams and the cardi can easily be adjusted as the baby grows so they can wear it longer!

LACE SAMPLER SHAWL
Lace doesn’t have to be intimidating. Learn a variety of lace stitches, how to read a chart, how to fix a mistake in lace and how to insert a lifeline all while making a beautiful lace shawl.

Want to speed up your knitting, especially for shawls and sweaters? Learn to replace purl rows with reverse continental knitting. It’s fun and fast and a great way to try continental knitting if you’ve always wanted to give it a go.

SOCK KNITTING 101
Learn the basics of sock knitting, including how to knit on four needles, turn a heel and graft the toe. Hand knit socks- the ultimate luxury

These socks are worked from the toes to the cuff, one at a time, on a long circular needle using the “magic loop” technique (or on two circular needles if you prefer). You will love the easy heel!

The world of sock yarns have changed and no longer a hand knit socks only for the colder months. Learn to make a pair of shortie summer socks in cooler 4ply fingering yarns.

- Classes are limited in size, so register early. Registration is confirmed when paid in full.
- No cash refunds unless the class is canceled by Gina Brown’s.
- Store credits or transfers must be made one week prior to starting date. Once the class has begun there can be no credits or transfers.
- Fees cover instruction only unless otherwise stated
- Please arrive on time and turn off your cell phone in consideration of teachers and class mates
- Classes are designed for adults 16 and older
- All classes, except needle felting or Beginner knitting or crochet, require basic skills.
- Sorry, we cannot do makeup classes
- No babies, children or non registered companions.
- ALL SUPPLIES USED IN OUR CLASSES MUST BE PURCHASED AT GINA BROWN’S
